Blue Ring - Blue Monday

This is my favourite ring and it's light blue. I bought it here in Santiago de Chile. It is made of silver, zirconium  rounded stones and aquamarine rectangular stones.
I have it since 2003 and I use it almost everyday!
Have a great Blue Monday, girls!!!
This event is kindly hosted by Sally at http://smilingsally.blogspot.com/

My beloved cat

I introduce you my cat named "muchachín" (little guy).
He's going to be 11 years old on November 14th.
He loves tuna, fish and sea food, and his parties consist in laying in a very sunny spot a whole afternoon.
I think I never felt an affection like this before.
Animals give us pure love and strong loyalty like anyone else can.
I even wrote a poem in Spanish about it (http://escritosines.blogspot.com/2007/07/carita-negra.html)
Have a great Sunday!

Friday At Last!!!

Friendster Graphics
Friendster Layouts - Myspace Quotes - Myspace Surveys

As most humans, I like Friday best than every other day of the week. Well, Thursdays and Saturdays are the days I meet my boyfriend, so they are happy occasions, but our encounters do not last all day, and Friday does!!!

Have you had one of these days?

(I took it from this lovely blog: http://sweetnothingsbj.blogspot.com/)
It doesn't matter how tired you are or how awful and complicated the day turns, you'll always have a rest tomorrow.

So enjoy Friday and have a great weekend!!!

Snowed Mountains - Outdoor Wednesday

This is the view from my rooms window. Pretty amazing, right?
It may not be my house outdoor (since I live in an apartment, he, he, he) but I think it is a great Santiago de Chile outdoor.

Inherited Caleidoscope - 2nd Time Around Tuesday

This event is hosted by Diane
This caleidoscope was bought by my sister. She loved it. But when she married and moved, she left it to me with her room. Now I can spend several minutes of relaxing caleidoscope forms viewing.

Cross My Heart - Blue Monday

This is part of the event: Blue Monday hosted by Smiling Sally http://smilingsally.blogspot.com/
There was a time when I had no professional title and I used to sell these hand towels I made.
I bought patterns and spent entire afternoons cross stitching. I really enjoyed it a lot.
These days I sit down in front of a computer screen almost all day long, so my right elbow and left shoulder suffer very much, to the point I cannot stitch or knit anymore.

Real 80s Look

It seems 80s are back again, and this time for good. At least in style and fashion terms speaking. Here's an actual picture of me from 1988. I was singing at a school song festival, and yes I was so very young! That reminds me that I started wearing black at 13 and I couldn't stop it anymore. Blackish is my style. Oh, please notice how ridiculous we used to look with those huge shoulder pads! I can bearly believe that skirt lenght. So awful! Well, you can tell I am not specially nostalgic for 80s, he, he. There was certainly too much bright color, too much neon, just too much pop!!! I definetely prefer 90s. In the 90s I used to be a dark (now called gothic) styled girl with much fascination for The Craw and The Nightmare Before Christmas (Tim Burton was my god). You get the picture. Sadly, I don't have much pics from that period, except for my travel ones (I wore jeans and sport clothes most of the time). That's it for now. What do you think?

In loving memory of the first half of my life

Next October 11th I'll be 35 years old. Everyday from that one on I'll be nearer to my 40s. My life is just beginning!
Did you know scientists think that the first person to reach 150 years old is already born? Yes, our expected life length is growing exponencially.
That makes me think about being a poor elder woman (financially speaking), therefore saving for retirement is my first priority in life since I was 28. But it is never too late to start.
Do you think I am worrying too much? Well I am not a risk friendly person. I want to be able to travel the all over the world and a healthy heart (artificial or not, I don't care) to enjoy my golden years.
Since I like knitting, sewing, cross stitching and crafting a lot (but I don't have much time) I think I won't need a stuck of money to keep me happy and occupied.
I'm looking forward to meeting my destiny. Do you?

I want to be a cat taking a nap

Image: FreeDigitalPhotos.net

I can barely find something cutier and more peaceful than a cat taking a nap. My cat loves sleeping in the angle formed by my knees in bed, and I enjoy it a lot.

And cats sleep more than most animals, especially as they grow older (my cat is 10 years old). So don't be surprised by the fact that the daily duration of a cat sleep varies usually from 12 to 16 hours, with an average of 14 hours. I couldn't sleep 16 hours more than 2 days in a row, I guess.

Did you know the term "cat nap" refers to the cat's ability to fall asleep lightly for a brief period? As a matter of fact, that term has entered the English lexicon since someone who nods off for a few minutes is said to be "taking a cat nap". I find that amazing.

I want to be a kitty taking a nap!!!

Music is my life

Image: FreeDigitalPhotos.net

Well, I love music of all kinds, genres and times.

I remember when I was aged 9 or 10 mother used to play a vinyl in a pickup of a young Edith Piaf singing "Non, Je Ne Regrette Rien". I wondered who can be this long faced and suffering woman portrayed in the disc cover.

Many years later I discovered the magnificent variety of her worldwide known works, and even sang a song in public impersonating her.

French music is so inspiring that I feel my chest filled with a strange mixture of melancholy and joy. It is just amazing.

Some of my favorite French artists (musicians and singers) are: Ives Montand, Jaques Brel, Gilbert Becaude, Charles Trenet, Georges Moustakis, Charles Aznavour and of course Edith Piaf.

I hope you'll enjoy them.

I love TweetDeck

Well, guys, I'm using TweetDeck and I really love it, except for the part of it being compatible with Facebook. Facebook is getting more decadent every minute. TweetDeck allows you to organize your followed ones in groups, it shows you in columns (therefore at the same time) your tweets, your followed ones tweets, the members of one or several groups tweets, the tweets that mention you, and your direct messages. Its only failure is that it still restricts the tweet's lenght at 140 characters (what a shame!) Nevertheless, you can shorten the links you want to include, and that is a huge help (specially for never ending links like the ones from LeMonde.fr). That's it so far. Read you!!!
